(Picture by Jean Keaton)Today was my due date for the baby I lost to miscarriage last February.
In a hallway at church, there are framed prints of Jesus with babies and children. I passed these pictures every Sunday as I walked Lucia to her PSR class. The above picture is how I like to think of Emmanuel in Heaven. When I see this picture, I can smile as I imagine him playing with his Savior in Heaven. While I wish I could have experienced this moment with him, I know he is in good hands.
Someday, we will meet face to face. I wish it could have been today, in a delivery room.

I'm so sorry. I know your heart must be aching today. I wish I had known, but I am glad I remembered to finally give you that book! That is a very sweet picture and I like to look at it. I like to picture Mary holding my babies, too.

Janet, yes it was kind of providential that you gave me that prayer book last week! God knew I would need it this week!
